Alan Silverman

Mastering engineer Alan Silverman's track record cuts across the board spanning Rock, R&B, Jazz, Folk, and World music with credits on 35 Grammy nominated albums including two for Album Of The Year.  Alan has mastered records charting in top-ten in lists across the world.  Remasters of classic recordings from past decades have earned praise from serious collectors and the press. 

Recent releases include Patricia Barber, Judy Collins, Shawn Colvin, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan, The Kinks, Earl Klugh, Medeski Martin & Wood, Dolly Parton, Cheap Trick, and Bebo Valdes (Five-time Grammy winner).

There are only a handful of CD mastering facilities in the world with the experience, ability, and technical knowledge required for remastering some of the most important records in rock 'n roll history. Arf! Mastering was chosen from this select group by Koch for their Kinks SACD reissue series. Critical reissue projects such as The Kinks re-masters are generally sent to much costlier mastering houses, but Koch's decision to use Arf! paid off with over-the-top raves from reviewers and customers alike, and they cut their mastering costs for the thirteen disc project in half!
